EAES course on basic skills in laparoscopic surgery

Target group: residents & consultants in the specialities of general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, gyneacology & urology who are interested in laparoscopic surgery

Minimal suggested skills: assistance at laparoscopic procedures

Number of participants: 12

Selection procedure: first come, first served basis

Number of training stations: 6 box trainers, synthetic models

Course language: Slovak (primary), English (secondary)

Objectives: to demonstrate, teach & train proper techniques of basic laparoscopic skills (camera navigation, object transfer, pattern cutting, clip & endoloop application, endobag manipulation, needle & suture manipulation, intracorporeal knot); to elucidate basic principles of laparoscopic surgery, safe pneumoperitoneum creation & risks of thermal injuries

Course – EAES members:                                          170 Euro

Yearly EAES Membership (Slovak surgeons):               45 Euro

Course EAES non-members:                                      220 Euro
