EAES course on suturing in laparoscopic surgery

Date and location: 20.-21. June 2020, Hotel Ponteo, Bratislava - Rusovce

Target group: residents and consultants in the specialities of general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, gyneacology and urology who are interested in laparoscopic surgery. 

Minimal suggested skills: assistance at laparoscopic procedures, completion of "EAES basic skills in laparoscopic surgery" course

Maximum number of participants: 12

Number of training stations: 6, synthetic models, chicken wings and backs

Course language: Slovak (primary), English (secondary)

Objectives: To demonstrate, teach and train proper techniques of intracorporeal laparoscopic suturing and knot tying (single and continuous stitch, thumble square knot); to elucidate ergonomic principles and safety risks in laparoscopic surgery.

Course – EAES members:                                          150 Euro

Yearly EAES Membership (Slovak surgeons):               45 Euro

Course EAES non-members:                                      200 Euro
